Services
Our accredited audiologists offer this advanced earwax removal service at an affordable price, making it a convenient and accessible solution for safe and effective earwax removal.
Please note:
-Our earwax removal services are available for individuals 18 years and older.
-To ensure the procedure is as comfortable and effective as possible, we recommend softening earwax with eardrops or plain olive oil 2-3 days before your appointment.
Full charges apply for earwax removal, a discounted follow-up session of $40 may be offered after an unsuccessful attempt. $40 if no wax is found, a middle ear pressure test is provided instead.
Important:
-Do not use eardrops if you have a hole in your eardrum.
-If you have any complex ear or medical conditions, such as an active ear infection, ear pain, a perforated eardrum, a history of ear surgeries inside the ear canal, or are taking blood-thinning medication, we cannot perform earwax removal for safety reasons. We recommend consulting an ENT specialist for the procedure.

Comprehensive Adult Hearing Assessment (+ Hearing Solutions Discussion)
The assessment includes standard pure tone audiometry (air conduction, bone conduction, and masking if required) up to 8 kHz, speech audiometry, and tympanometry if clinically necessary. Your audiologist will review your results in detail and discuss personalised options, including hearing devices if appropriate.
An electronic copy of your hearing graph (audiogram) is available at no additional cost upon request.
An electronic copy of the hearing graph (audiogram) can be provided at no additional cost upon request. If you have a written medical referral, a clinical report will be sent directly to your referring doctor.
This assessment includes:
• Pure tone audiometry (air and bone conduction, including masking if required) up to 8 kHz
• Speech audiometry
• Tympanometry
• Acoustic reflex testing
Note: All listed tests will be conducted unless ear health conditions or other clinical factors prevent completion.

Medicare Information (if referred):
If you have a valid written referral from a medical practitioner (e.g., GP or specialist), you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate:
• Upfront cost: $130
• Maximum Medicare rebate: Up to $53
• Typical out-of-pocket expense: ~$77
Patients who meet the Extended Medicare Safety Net (EMSN) threshold may be eligible for a higher rebate.
Blossom Hearing Care submits Medicare claims via Webclaim. On-the-spot HICAPS is not available. To assist with your claim, we will require the patient’s Medicare and banking details.
⸻
Please note:
• Extended High-Frequency Testing (up to 20 kHz) is recommended for patients who:
• Have taken or are currently taking ototoxic medications (e.g., chemotherapy drugs), or
• Have normal standard audiograms but still experience hearing difficulties.
To access this service, please book an Advanced Diagnostic Hearing Assessment (Extended High-Frequency).
• Tinnitus-specific assessments are available only for existing patients who have previously completed a hearing assessment with us, and must be booked as a separate appointment.
An electronic copy of the hearing graph (audiogram) can be provided at no additional cost upon request.
Note: You may be eligible for a Medicare rebate if you have a valid written medical referral from a medical practitioner. The Medicare rebate amount can vary depending on the services provided and whether you qualify for EMSN.
Important: Blossom Hearing Care uses Webclaim to submit patient Medicare claims; there is no HICAPS process available on the spot. To assist with your Medicare claim, we will need the Medicare details of the patient and/or claimant*, as well as banking details if necessary.
-*Claimant is the person who incurred or is liable for the costs associated with the medical service.
This assessment is especially useful for patients who experience hearing difficulties that may not be detectable on a standard audiogram, which only tests up to 8 kHz. For example, individuals who have been told their standard audiogram is normal but still notice hearing challenges will benefit from this extended range. It is also helpful for monitoring potential hearing damage in patients who have taken or are currently taking ototoxic medications (e.g., chemotherapy drugs for cancer).
We are proud to be one of the very few audiology clinics to invest in the latest and most advanced equipment, enabling us to test the full range of human hearing up to 20 kHz, along with speech audiometry and impedance audiometry (including tympanometry and acoustic reflex testing), if clinically required. This provides a complete picture of your hearing and helps to identify early signs of hearing loss. The audiologist will discuss the results in detail and review personalised treatment options or referrals if clinically indicated.
An electronic copy of the hearing graph (audiogram) can be provided at no additional cost upon request.
You may be eligible for a Medicare rebate with a valid medical referral from a medical practitioner. The assessment follows our advanced diagnostic hearing assessment service protocol, and a report will be sent to the referring doctor after the test.
Pricing Information:
Upfront cost: $200

Gap fee: $147
If you meet the EMSN, you may be entitled to a higher rebate.

Hilary was really thorough and she gave honest advice. I’m happy to know my hearing is normal. The earwax removal was easier than I expected. I’ll definitely book with her again.

I booked a hearing test for my uncle, and we were really impressed! The audiologist was lovely, and it was a huge plus that she could speak Cantonese. The mobile service was super convenient. Definitely recommend!

They sent 2 audiologists to our house for my son's hearing test. Oli was much calmer than he would’ve been in a clinic environment. We could claim through Medicare with the gap being around $75. Other places quoted us like $200 for a children's hearing test so the gap there would’ve been double what we paid! We’ll definitely be booking with Blossom Hearing Care again for Oli's yearly hearing test, I couldn’t be more pleased with their service.

I was so impressed with their pricing and service! I received a flyer in my mailbox and got a $10 discount on their microsuction, bringing the cost down to just $85. On top of that, I didn’t have to drive to a clinic or wait around—I could relax at home on my day off. They only charged me $18 for the travel fee which is very reasonable considering I live a bit further away. The audiologist made the whole experience smooth and comfortable, it was totally worth it. I had been quoted $150 by a nurse from an earwax removal company which seemed a bit steep especially considering I’d also need to drive to their clinic. In comparison, the audiologist not only saved me time but their pricing was much more affordable with excellent service. I’ll definitely book another appointment in six months as my ears tend to get blocked. Highly recommend Blossom Hearing Care!

The audiologist is friendly, professional and incredibly attentive to your needs. She takes the time to explain everything clearly and provides personalised hearing care that’s hard to find elsewhere. The convenience of mobile appointments makes it so much easier, especially for busy people or those who prefer care at home. If you’re looking for expert hearing care with a personal touch, I highly recommend booking an appointment!
